British national Jeff Savage faces jail or death penalty for inciting red shirt protestors to burn..
The Guardian has an article about Jeff Savage online. Follow this link if you don't know yet who he is. It looks like he is in a lot of trouble now facing either jail or even the death penalty. It all started with a video of him saying the follownig: "We're gonna smash the fucking Central [World] plaza to shit. We're gonna steal everything out of it and burn the fucker down. Trust me, get pictures of that fucker. We're gonna loot everything, gold, watches, everything, and then we're gonna burn it to the ground," Now he thinks he is being made a scapegoat: "I am being stitched up, being fitted up. I thought it was just for overstaying my visa, but now this is serious," Savage said from behind bars in Bangkok remand prison. "They are trying to pin a whole lot of stuff on me, and a few others ? that we had nothing to do with. We are being made scapegoats." Permalink | Leave a comment  »

The big Bangkok Clean-up
Today hundreds of Bangkokians started the big clean-up of their city. The main sites of the red shirt protests including Silom and Siam Square/Rajprasong intersection got thoroughly cleaned by volunteers. A great photo set of this can be seen here: http://www.photoshelter.com/c/netphoto/gallery/Red-Shirts-Thailand/G0000M6JN7... Below you can see a photo of one of the youngest volunteers... And a picture of a bag of Rambutan at a corner of a gutted bank at Siam Square that somebody put down there for anybody to take who helped to clean up, great gesture: See the full gallery on posterous Permalink | Leave a comment  »
