Kayum?s vast knowledge of house music and djing expertise spans over 15 years. Kayum is 1 of the 5 members of the collective Movementz, along with Timmy Vegas (who had a worldwide hit with Strings of Life). Movementz is greater than its parts, with a vast musical knowledge between the members meaning the sounds that are produced are both modern, as well as drawing influence from the past. This blend of styles makes for an interesting but polished sound. Along with having tracks included on compilations for Defected and Ministry of Sound, The collective have produced a number of recordings, notably ?29 Calls? released on Germanys infamous dance label Sonar Kollektiv and ?The House of III Repute? on Universe Media to critical acclaim. These tracks getting plays from the likes of Osunlade, Rocky and Diesel (XPress 2), Tony Humphries, Ralph Lawson, Jimpster, DJ Deep, Gilles Peterson, Sven Vath and Satoshie Tomiie to name a few.
